Favorite Looks from the Nordstrom Sale

DSC_0466Boots: Vince Camuto

Are you having #nsale fatigue yet? The sale opened to everyone (not just cardholders) last Friday, and things quickly flew off the shelves. Luckily, a little bird told me Nordstrom is restocking several items this week!

Here are a few of my favorite looks from the sale. If an item is out of stock, save it to your wish list and keep an eye on it this week!

#nsale Favorites Under $100

Are you starting to have #nsale fatigue yet? Sooooo many good deals, so many color options, so many booties. Well WAKE UP sister, because the sale is public TODAY! Be sure to scoop up these finds before they’re gone. Here are my favorite under $100:

Pants:

I tried on this pair of jeans in stores (see here), and practically wore them out of the store. They’re the perfect weight and length, and the raw hem detail is spot on. They also come in white, yahtzee!

These leather leggings have been on my list for over a year. I have the regular cotton version and they have an amazing fit (read: thick waistband). Last year, they were completely sold out everywhere. This year, they were the first thing in my basket.

Dresses:

I love the lace-up neckline detail on this dress – it’s the amount of roomy and structure to throw on and look polished but comfy. I also love this printed dress. How cute would that be with a leather jacket and over the knee boots?! Lastly, this cold shoulder dress is made out of the perfect material. Slingy, substantial and has such a flattering fit!

Tops:

The way this top fits is so flattering, and easy with a pair of denim (bonus – you can wear it now!).  I’m way into the basic pieces with a twist this year, like this top and this sassy long sleeve with the mesh detail. Also, can you tell I have a thing for neutrals? I’ve bought this tee in every color this year – it’s by far my favorite t-shirt (why are they so hard to find sometimes!?), and at $16 you can’t beat the quality. Lastly, if you’re looking the perfect slouchy plaid, look no further!

Sweaters:

I have a habit of doing the half tuck most of the time with my sweaters, and I love the way this one has the look built in! Also comes in 3 wear-with-anything colors. If you’re in the market for a cashmere turtleneck, this one is your ticket (it also comes in a beauuuuutiful light blue, which I might have to buy as well). It’s SO cozy and the neck is roomy – I have an issue with tight turtlenecks. This slouchy number is also the perfect throw-on-and-go sweater for those chilly days you just want to stay in bed.

Shoes:

I admit, I have a tennis shoe addiction. I love throwing on a dress and tennis during any season, and when I saw these in the store I knew they had to be mine (I’ve already worn them a dozen times). I also bought these shorties, after reviewing my boot inventory from last winter and recognizing a serious need for easy, throw on flat booties. These lace up flats were another no-brainer, since I’ve worn my old pair into the ground. I love this merlot color for fall! While I’m not usually one to favor the open-toe bootie look, it is a practical shoe for our unseasonably warm falls here in Texas – they’re so flattering on and not to mention COMFY. Lastly, I bought these over-the-knee boots. I practically squealed when I found them, since I’ve been swooning over the Stewart Weitzman version for quite some time.

Accessories:

I’m all about crossbody bags these days (I need both hands for Jack!), and I just love the color of this one! Also, will blanket scarves and big sunnies ever go out of style? I love the round shape of these sunnies, and the color of this scarf! Throw on with every outfit!

Baby Gifts + Gear from the Nordstrom Sale

For all my moms-to-be or new mommas:  the Nordstrom sale is the best hidden jackpot for buying baby gifts or needed registry items. While some think the sale only pertains to new fall clothes and shoes, many forget the awesome deals you can catch in the baby department. This is the perfect time to load up on baby shower gifts!

It’s also a great time to fill in the gaps from your registry, or cross off those items you’ve noticed you need. Example? Jack has grown out of his infant carseat, so now we’re looking into the ‘big boy’ carseat. Right now, he’s in the Nuna Pipa and we love it. I’m actually really sad to have to see it go. It’s the lightest on the market (which makes a big difference as they get bigger), and Jack actually loves sitting in it. For our replacement, Nordstrom is offering this Maxi-Cosi style for under $300! Also, if you’re in the market for a stroller, the Nuna has a great all-purpose system or you can invest in a jogger like this one.

Other Gear:

We love putting Jack in our carrier when we’re walking to the park, or trekking through airports. He loves facing out! Also, if you’re considering a pack and play – this one is amazing. We use it everywhere – grandparents house, trips, as a playpen around the house. They’re super handy and it’s important to find one that’s easy to assemble and carry.

When it comes to bottles and baby dishes, I never thought I’d be so enthusiastic about this drying rack (fondly referred to as ‘the lawn’) and baby food maker. Since Jack is full on solids now, anything that can make meal prep easier I’m into!

Great Gifts:

I cant speak highly enough about these Little Giraffe blankets. We have two, and they’re Jack’s all time favorite blankets – one is always in his hand.  These swaddle blankets are also everywhere around our house. Perfect multi-purpose, and you can never have too many.  Last on the blanket front: these adorable personalized blankets. How fun are these for a gift!? As a new mom, I can’t get enough of Jack’s monogram.

Bathtime favorites: we’re full on Honest Company users in our household. The diapers are amazing, and we love their bath and safe household products. This gift set is a perfect sampling of all the great products they have to offer! Also, my love for the Little Giraffe brand extends to bath time – they have the coziest towels that we love to use!

Clothing favorites: onesies are always a hit for gifting. This one is perfect for those chilly morning walks. I also have an obsession with baby moccasins – how fun are these!? If you know the gender of a friends baby, it’s always fun to stock their closet with fun little outfits like this one or this one.  I also couldn’t resist buying my little fox a few sweaters for fall 🙂
